The Corsair of Laffitte Carcasset

Saint-Estèphe

A cuvée in honour of the estate’s founder.

This cuvée was created in tribute to the founder of Château Laffitte Carcasset, Jean Laffitte – a public figure in Bordeaux and world traveller. It is also a nod to the last pirate of the Caribbean of the same name, whose origins, studied by New York Times journalist William C. Davis, are said to be in the Médoc. Two intertwined destinies, half myth, half history, told on a label using augmented reality.

A captivating bottle that plunges into 19th century history.

Captain Cook's Travels - 1804

This wine was made primarily from Merlot (60%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), grown on selected plots in the estate’s vineyard. It is an elegant and fruity wine with refined oaky notes and a round, smooth texture.
A Saint-Estèphe that is a pleasure to drink young. Best enjoyed within 5-7 years.
